WIP Beta released Demolition Derby - The Fair Grounds 10.8.1 DEMO

Hello, I'm sure i'm just doing something wrong.. But for whatever reason this will not show up in scenarios for me. Would love help fixing this so I can giver a try!

Yea and sometimes you need to unpack the mod via the ingame mod manager.

after this new update the mod barley works anymore

mod works some times, the new mod sometime it dont select the mod cars., when it does the ai are broken

What options are you selecting? It might not be spawning the vehicles because of a problem with a parts file. Do you have a screenshot or log file?

I am having the same issue as others have stated here. I go through the prompts but I am unable to spawn a vehicle. The timer runs down but all I get is a screen of the dirt oval track and I cannot move at all. No matter what options I try the results are the same. All other mods have been removed.

 

If they did not spawn then you got some kind of lua error. Do you know how to get the beamng.log file from your documents folder? I will need a copy of those.

 

since the update it says error spawning vehicles when I have all mods or all mods + beamng cars works with no mods selected. hope you can fix it did not have that issue before the update thanks. this is my favorite mod.

 

Does not fail for me. I would need your beamng.log files after you get the error.

it seems it works fine for me, but i don't see the figure 8 mod in this scenario

 

If you mean the "High Speed Figure 8" mod, you'd have to start that scenario to get bidwars options from his derby mod. Although you'd need the updated version of it (figure 8) which I haven't uploaded here yet. The race works but there seem to be some waypoint annoyances. Not sure if I should update, the AI triggers each WP individually and with a lot of cars and that sound gets annoying fast. WP also disappear and appear for the player each time that happens.

You can try the current state if you want, max cars is 8 at the moment as the starting positions aren't polished yet. Probably need to deactivate or delete the original "high speed figure 8" mod!

 

How does the heats work?

 

They dont work at the moment, I imagine they're still being worked on

EDIT: I'm curious to see how they're going to work though. From what I can tell it goes down to the last car or two and then the final is supposed to have all the winning cars, but at the moment there's no way to do more than one before the final, and even then when you go to do the final the scenario doesnt restart. I really like it though, and I'm looking forward to the updates.

It seems in the last update (10.0.6), the node grabber is no longer available. If you could fix this I'd appreciate it because it is very annoying when you get called out because you're stuck on the wall or another car.

 

Node grabber should work in the derby arena's. It might not work in the racing arena's. Are you having trouble with both?

 

I only play in the derby arenas. Mostly the concrete one. I'll try it again and see.
