Im working on a 900hp v12 that i want to make it look like the exhaust manifold is coming out of the sides. i can only get the first to on either side to actually function and im trying to modify the jbeam files to try to make the other 10 function but i cant seem to find anything about it in any jbeam file. any way to make them all work?

I have no idea how the exhausts are done on Automation converts, but afaik the real way is to jbeam each exhaust tip (couple nodes for each tip). Worked fine with the rear engined Pigeon.

they do require a bit fiddling to get them to work. I suggest you study the official vehicles' exhaust jbeams a bit to get an idea how they're working. My rear engined Pigeon could also provide some help as it has similar exhaust. Can't remember how exactly they're set up but at least having the exhaust flow the right direction is important.

so as far as i can tell automation compiles jbeams the exact same as stock, the only difference is there is less files with a LOT more s**t in them. the hard part with fiddling with it is theres so many different lines of code for the exhaust, and having 12 of them is extremely hard to keep track of. im just trying to add missing strings to the exhaust file till it works but i still dont even know exactly what im looking for. im using your mod as reference but its outdated so that might cause issues and so far i haven't seen anything major that is missing.

theres over 1000 lines for just the beam of the exhaust and i really cant make much sense of it because of how messy it is
