Well my dad built the PC for me so he just bought a good card for a decent amount of money. :/ But will it handle this?
here's an idea: get rid of the old demo map, finish up big surf island, make it a separate map and make that the demo. that will be a more interesting demo map, which will give you more time to finish the full map without further complaints.
Hey guys. I was on vacation, but now I am back. Sure. I'll do it. Bug me about it if I forget. Haven't checked the form for a long time. I'll update roles now!
Looking awesome! Great work on bringing one of my favorite driving environments into the BeamNG engine. Keep up the great work, and seriously looking forwards to the next update. If you need anyone to bug test latest versions, I have a very capable PC: Specs are as follows - AMD FX-9590 Eight Core @ 4.72 GHz 16 GB of Ram Nvidia GTX 970 with 4 GB of ram I promise not to distribute or broadcast of any material shared, unless specifically given permission to do. I also promise to document any errors discovered and submit them via DM, along with whether or not they are consistently replicable. No pressure of course: I just tend to drive thoroughly enough that I may be able to find bugs or terrain issues that otherwise may go undiscovered.
D'oh! I don't know how I missed that - Application submitted and looking forwards to hearing from you!
Who said I was abandoning it? There's more to come after this. You're now a tester and soon will have something to test
Your pessimism isn't helping matters. Why not just have a little faith and not badger mod creators with negativity and predictions of failure? If I were a mod creator, I would find posts like yours pretty discouraging. Awesome, looking forwards to it!
While this may be true, you certainly are not the first commenter to say exactly that. Any mod that goes on "too long" by the definition of members of this site invariably has its pages clogged by dozens of individuals asking/saying "Will this EVER come out?!" "Release it now!" "I am so done waiting." "This mod is dead." "Is this mod dead?" and many such things. The only thing it accomplishes is showing a lack of appreciation on the part of the commenter for the sheer amount of work it takes to make something like this project a reality. Sorry if you felt singled out, but the negativity in this community has driven away quite a few brilliant content creators, and I have decided that I am going to start confronting it when I see it. Sometimes projects take a long time. Sometimes the creator has things come up in their life that are more important. Sometimes they have to work long hours and don't see BeamNG for weeks on end. Sometimes they drop the project entirely because the work turns out to be way more than they initially thought and they aren't prepared to slave away for dozens of hours per week to bring a near endless project to completion, or another idea catches their interest. These are normal things, and perfectly ok.
Sorry if I sound like a dick, but are you still working on the map? I really don't wanna see this map get lost in the ocean of forum mods.
