    I do not understand exactly what conditions cause this, but it is easy to reproduce. I used the "Offroad" configuration of the Gavril D15 for this. Maybe this behavior has to do with spawning the engine partially submerged, or maybe it has to do with fully submerging the engine briefly after a spawn, or maybe it's something else entirely.

    In any case, as I said - it's easy to reproduce. Just place the truck where you see it in the video and CTRL+R. After that, recover to that location while giving full throttle. This will lift the engine just enough to prevent it from dying underwater... and typically will also light the front of the truck on fire.

    Thanks Diamondback. If you're interested in explaining I'd love to hear how this bug works(worked). The fire system is pretty interesting.

    It was a weird combination of factors.
    The bug allowed the temperature of a node to spike much higher than what would be normally allowed when in water.
    That's because a certain check was looking for a disabled engine to determine the maximum temperature but since the engine isn't disabled immediately when in water there was a little timeframe where the whole thing could ignite itself.

    Thanks, I reviewed the change and I see how it (now) clamps minTemp to tEnv while underwater. (I think that only line-146 received a functional change, right?) I don't get how not having this clamp would cause nodes to ignite though. Please correct me if I'm wrong - I think that what you are implying is that without the clamp the higher baseTemp nodes were radiating enough heat into nearby nodes that they would ignite due to having a lower flashpoint.

    I think I'm probably misunderstanding exactly what minTemp is used for. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding where heat energy is coming from in the first place. (I'm thinking that it's radiating from nodes which have a baseTemp > tEnv)

    @Diamondback
    I'm not sure exactly what I'm seeing here, check the video below. This is in v0.5.1.0, the current version. I do have more footage with node names turned on, zoomed in, etc. I haven't reproduced this just by slamming into things underwater, so I assume it's related to the shallow-water tumble where the nodes enter/exit the water repeatedly.

    Which map is that? When testing these things please make sure to use the official maps so we can properly reproduce the issues and be somewhat certain that environment is setup properly.

    I knew that I should have mentioned that. It's JRI with this alpha scenario. I ran into this while testing the scenario and have been unable to reproduce it. I didn't really hard or for a long time, I think the video speaks for itself.

    I've added some further bulletproofing to the fire/water interaction just to be safe, let me know if anything weird keeps happening once you guys get the next update :)
