Did you update the destinations? On my copy, it's going down to the Y intersection and making several loops around that, which seems to be impossible since the waypoints force a very tight turn and it's quite hilly there. In the videos, its driving through town. It's really quite frustrating as-is right now.

 

Sorry the checkpoints going out of the city :/

 

Pausing doesn't seem to do anything and first checkpoint doesn't activate

 

First checkpoint (which actually seems to be two checkpoints in one) are not activating when I drive through them. Pausing as soon as the map loads doesn't do anything, either.

EDIT: Okay, after watching YBR's video, here is what I notice in my game:
1) I have ZERO gas at the start. YBR has a fast-draining fuel tank. I start on empty.
2) The checkpoint at the driveway start does not activate. When I hit R to restart, it adds checkpoints to the start driveway.
3) I deactivated ALL other mods and this still doesn't work.
