Update: Hello everyone, I know its been a while. I am going to be updating this mod to work with the latest version and new features of BeamNG in the upcoming months. Work may be slow however because I am very busy in college this year. I removed the non-working downloads on the first post until I can finish updating this. Planned updates include: -update and optimize jbeam -redo the suspension -fix the materials and make skins optional -fix the moving parts and engine sounds -make it float corectly -add exhaust -other tweeks For anyone who would like to use this I am attaching a version with the lua folder deleted so you can use it in the new version of Beam, but be aware that the custom sounds and moving parts don't work, the suspension is very flexy/glitchy due to the vehicle being from such an old version. Also included is a still WIP engine update. The attached version does not reflect the final quality that I intend this mod to have! It is just for those who wish to play with the BTR while I am in the process up updating it. (Please don't report any issues with this version, I know it has many problems. This is just so it willl function in the new version of BeamNG) EDIT: deleted temporary wip version. Full version 2.0 in first post
STOP, if you would READ the posts. He is in the process of updating it. This is a old mod and the file above is just for now while it gets finnished up. Please READ the posts BEFORE you complain.
hey, could you pm me the original? I want to mess around with the lua and see if I can fix it for you.
Thank you, I really appreciate this kind offer. However, I plan to make a completely new lua script based on the new beamng features and new soundscript as I update the project as a whole, so thiat is not neccesaty at all. (if you would like to play with the old lua mess files, I think I left them in the zip, they are still in the folder, just had the file extensions renamed to ".lua-" so beamng ignores them) As far as the overall project goes, some initial work was done the other weekend but I still havent found a lot of time for the updating. Progress is also slow as I have to learn how to work with a lot of the new features that have been added to BeamNG and this can be difficult and time consuming. Here is a pic during testing just to show a little work was done
very nice! also, I can tell that this mod was older and is going to take time to update, that lua looks like some I have seen in mods made for much earlier versions of the game. good to see it is going well!
holy cow i have this it aint work no more but i am SUPER hyped for the update i have never drove this thing before and im really excited!
Version 2.0 is finally here with big changes and updates! Now for BeamNG 0.7+ and with many improvements. See the first post for details and download.
Thank you for reviving this mod! It's awesome to use it once again and it has had some great improvements too. I just noticed that the wheels are a bit wiggly in the sense that then spin forward and backwards when stopped, which might be the reason why the speed dial doesn't stick to a value while driving the vehicle (if you are going 33 kmh it the speedial will show 33,34,36,35,37 in a quick manner). Any idea why that happens? Not sure if this is an issue or not as I have zero knowledge in Russian amphibious tanks but this is as far as I could go in the map "cliff roads": Pitch 29.8 and Roll is 4.8.
