Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Hi. There is a huge problem with this mod and only this mod but when I crash one of the trucks, it makes the entire game crash. Restarting the game is the only thing I can do to make it work again, otherwise it'll just freeze entirely. I hope you know of this. I'm going to delete it and re-install it again and see if it happens. Thanks for the fantastic mod though, I absolutely love it when it doesn't make the entire game crash, lol. I especially love the 4WD crew cab off road pickup truck with the short bed, the 4WD off road Suburban with the wheels on the top and the rollback/ autobed. Seriously, awesome work.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 this happens to most cars if the wheels get damaged just press J and itll work
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 i know you probably mentioned it somewhere and i didnt see it, but could this be a thing? (this one uses the 4wd cargo truck with station body and a pickup bed, but would it be possible to do, like this (imported from here) (imported from here)
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Hello, I tried downloading and installing this mod, but in the game, the default truck comes up with no wheels. The other variations have a whole bunch of other things messed up. Is there a certain way I am supposed to install it? I just dragged the file from Win RAR to the vehicles folder in the alpha pre-race. Thanks!
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 you remove the file so its just a .zip. then plate it in the mods section of the beamng.drive folder in "documents" (this is the default location for mod installation) also the wheels are changed, so the most recent version of the game is working (im not sure of version number vs name is), but that may be the reason for the wheels (or lack thereof)
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 I dont have it in documents. I have it in users, appdata, local, beamng. Is that right? How do i get the latest version of beamng?
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=302733786 this link should help, it really helped me. and to get the most recent version 0.3.7.7, is to update via steam, if that is not the version you currently have
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Hey AR162B I have been looking around in the FS file for the HD rear suspension but have been unable to find it. Could direct me to where you put it so i can add a few options please
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 The HD chassis is basically a modified H45 (heavy) chassis, so is the suspension: "van_suspension_R_heavy_L" for the Long frame "van_suspension_R_heavy_S" for the Short frame Be aware; lowering it more than the lowered sport suspension can cause it to bounce. And I'm curious what for setup you're adding..?
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 I'm adding in a couple of rear diff options like posi-trac and various levels limited slip plus different gear ratios. plus my uncle has a 65 chevy c10 (not the truck in the pic) with a totally rebuilt rear end. it looks stock with a dually axle but in reality it's a 2 ton build in the rear. so I am also trying to imitate that on the medium duty short bed version of your truck. When i learn how to change to rims and tires in blender plus node and beams I will hopefully make something like this. but for now just modifying the jbeam will have to do
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 That's a nice truck! I hope some day there will be an official 1950's-1960s truck in BeamNG... Be aware the D15's axle track is 4cm shorter on each side compared to the heavy frames. If there's already a official tyre and rim in game you can use multi-Dae to get it there. I've used it on all wheels, take at the whel jbeam look if you don't know how to. It speaks for itself. And using a wheel from another car take a look at the global scale settings.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Thanks for the info .. I also hope that one day someone will put a well done model of a 50-60 chevy truck. hey side note I'm finally finishing the wiring harness on mine (it's my avatar pic). anyways thanks again. If I get done right I'll send you the file and maybe you can add it in.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 I don't get what that means. people said that about the 16 wheel van Drowsy showed in his boat video. can you edit vehicles in Photoshop or are they just manipulating the image of the vehicle? (stupid question i know)
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 They're just manipulating the image. The DrowsySam thing was real as far as I know.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 ok, i just thought it looked cool man, i wish there was a d series limo
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 I like how you re-introduced the high center of gravity to some of these variants making them more prone to rollovers when excersizing emergency avoidance steering. From what I have read the original D15 did tip over but was modified not to, that is extremely unrealistic given real life circumstances, and fairly irresponsible to teach younger drivers that even lifted 4x4's wont roll no matter how much you throw them around especially in normal highway conditions. Point is it's not supposed to have F1 car like stability, even with electronic feedback safety systems these buggers still want to roll over and should not be able to have sedan like stability. Thanks for regaining some semblance of reality here. They should be as dangerous as they look in what is as far as I can tell, a vehicle simulator that should perfom best when you want to damage a vehicle when the feeling grabs you. Having said that, I'm not really looking forward to the Roamer something tells me it's not going to be as dangerously prone to rollovers as I would hope. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.
