Back when i had good old X86 on my HP Compaq I could control the fans using NHC (NoteBookHardware control) but the program simply hasnt been coded for X64, the driver doesnt work with or without signature enforcement, all the DSDT patch guides have links to non existent programs and hacks that dont work anymore, and i cant find anything much later than 2010, so i am stuck, does anyone know of a 64 bit compatible ACPI control software. Or a way to patch the DSDT in windows 10 (without learning hexadecimal).
you could buy a external fan controller or make one with a arduino https://discourse.vvvv.org/t/how-to-control-computer-fans-with-arduino-uno-vvvv-firmata/12349/6
doesnt work for ACPI fans, it only works for some motherboards, I need a program that will change the DSDT on the fly, like NHC
I just went back to windows 7 x86, an external fan controller is not a good idea when my sister probably will use my laptop to play minecraft and forget to turn the fan up and it will overheat.
