Just asking, to see if i can simulate a new laptop by dialing in clock speeds for intel hd graphics and the amount of cores and ghz.

no. mobile cpu's are different to their desktop cousins.
they are made to use significantly less power.

The architecture may be the same, but other specs, such as cache, are different.

Base architecture is the same though the microcoding is different. Even clock for clock the mobile chips are slower than their desktop counterparts.

You'd have to have said mobile CPU to be able to figure that out.

oh ok, its quite annoying to see that an i7 can be a dual core, so you have to hunt for the specs of the laptop to find out
