I'm not quite sure where i should've put this. Also this isn't directly an suggestion but is instead I'm asking for the opinion on the subject. Anyway I was looking through the Dirt Rally achievements and I noticed that there is an achievement for playing the game when it was early access. Now is this an good thing to have or not? On one hand it gives the early access players an reward for being there during the development process but on the other hand it gives the rest of the players an achievement that they will never get, resulting in them never getting 100% achievement status. There are people who strive to 100% perfect their games and with this kind of achievement they won't be able to do that unless they buy the game on early access which isn't always the best idea in certain scenarios. *cough*wreckfest*cough*.
I think there should be an achievement for this. Not because I'm an early access tester, but because it encourages people to get other games in early access, and therefore help the devs.
I don't think it's a good idea. Seeing the game develop into what it is, and what it is still to be, is more than enough reward for people who have bene here since the start IMO. Rewarding people for spending money on an unfinished product encourages bad decision making. BeamNG is totally worth the money even in early access phase, of course, but not all games turn out this way.
I disagree as it suggests pre order required for completionism. Unique badges and shit yes. Achievements no
If that achievement wouldn't count for 100% completion it would be a nice thing to have, I don't know if that's possible on Steam though. Maybe early access players could get like a special badge that 'only' gives an XP boost or something.
