This mod has decent 2-stroke sound and it also blows out the blue smoke that is characteristic for 2-stroke engines. Would be nice to have something similar with the Warnhorst/Trabant!

I plan something like this. Let the engine starve oil, or blew the head gasket is pretty easy, just the changing of 2 variables. The game then will say, that "the engine is starving of oil", but maybe I can get some knowledge about particle emitters, to solve it in a different way.

Yes, that is the plan. I plan, to recreate the original Trabant color palette, but I eventually will add some other colors for potential restomod versions as well. Hope, this answers your question.
After some testing in my currently little free time, I got the car in game. There are just two problems, which need fixing. First of all, the front suspension breaks when letting the car fall from some height. It don´t break any beams or triangles, the front suspension just moves upwards and keeps stuck in there. The other problem is, that some of the areas around the frame (I currently use a not edited pigeon 4 wheel frame), the stress is pretty high and gets higher, the more weight is applied to them in form of additional body parts. I think, I have to re- Jbeam the front body part, but I will also look for different solutions. But progress is there and when I´m done with my exams and got a stable frame base, then the thread will go back to wip and I will hopefully have more time, to work on the mod.

Every time I do some Gramatikgestapo writes back "satzbau" That being said I have "Wie Hilfe Ich mich seblst Trabant 601", "Książka Warsztatowa Trabant 601", and a color cross section of the engine. The last one is actually framed hanging on my wall, because I am weird like that. Basically I have some documentation for Trabant 601. If you think any of it would be useful I can provide scans. I can also do translations from German to English and Polish to English of said books.
